Understanding The Purpose of Life

What is the purpose of life? This question is easy for some and very difficult for others. But we all have a purpose in life for which we all make maximum efforts. In fact, our lives are comprised of so many small and big goals that every time, we think that achieving them means life. But every purpose or goal is real until it is realised. Once a thing is done, the purpose slot is again empty and we again look for something else to do.
What is the real purpose of this life? Allah swt say in Quran;

[046:003] We did not create the heavens and the earth and all that exists between them, except with justice, for a specified time (and a specific purpose). Yet, the unbelievers have ignored the warning.
This verse tells us two things. One is that everything that we see has a purpose. A star does not shine but it has a purpose to do so. Sun does not emit warmth but it has a purpose to do so. In another place, Allah swt say the same words;
[015:085] We created the heavens and the earth, and all else in between, with a specific purpose! The hour (of Judgment) is sure to arrive! So, forgive and forget with grace!
In short, everything has a purpose. Allah swt say that every thing runs in its specified course. Sun cannot precede the moon, nor can moon shine before the sun. everything worships Allah swt. Even a rock and a worm inside it worship him. To mankind, Allah swt say that;
[002:021] Oh mankind! Worship your Lord Who created you, and those before you. Perhaps you will attain piety.
In another place, Allah swt say;
[003:051] “Truly! Allah is my Lord, and your Lord! Therefore, worship Him (alone); that is the straight path!”
Allah swt does not want us to be multi millioner, He swt would not raise us higher in status if we become doctor or engineer or scientist. He swt tell us to worship Him alone. And thats it. In everything that surrounds us, and in every thing that has happened, there is a reason. In another verse, Allah swt say;
[006:102] Such is Allah, your Lord! There is no god but He, the Creator of all (beings and) things! So worship Him (exclusively); He is the trustee over all things.
Here again, Allah swt tell us that we worship Him alone, without escribing any partners to Him. So whatever we do, whatever we become, if we do not worship Allah swt and we escribe partners with him in one way or other, then our purpose of life is lost. The topic of Quran is human being. This book contains every thing a human should be and everything he should not be. And one thing that is repeated in this book again and again is that we are meant to worship Allah. Worshipping does not only mean to offer salah. But worshipping means to do every thing that pleases Allah. When Allah swt is pleased with us, then the purpose of life is achieved.

Life of this world is a portal, this temporary portal will lead us to whatever direct we choose. If we navigate towards jannah, we will reach their, and to reach their, we need to fulfil our purpose in this world.
