Its a month in Which Muslims fasts, pray and try to as much good deeds as possible. In Ramadan a specially prayer called Taraweeh Or Tarawih is also offered everyday after Isha prayer in which Holy Quran is read. Reading Taraweeh is not compulsory as its not a fard but reading it is a great virtue and increases the Taqwa.

On some places 8 Rakaat of Taraweeh are offered which some offer 20 and some even 12. During Ramadan Tarawih is also offered in Masjid Al Haram and Masjid Al Nabwi.
