Islamic Point Of View On Democracy Vs Khilafah

Here i am sharing a very interesting Discussion on the topic "Islamic Point Of View On Democracy and Khilafah" that is done between Muslims with different point of views on this issue.

Farhan
I Beleive Democracy is destorying the humanity and the only Soltuion for humanity is Islamic Khilafah.
Here is a article which i would like to share on this issue. http://www.kalamullah.com/manhaj02.html

SYED
Even voting is Haram, it is considered as shirk coz when we are electing a representative for the parliament, we are electing a Taghut(False Idol) Besides Allah Swt.

Amad
Democracy is nothing but a hypocrite system where two wolves and a sheep decide what to have for Dinner.
Two wolves being - the Government and Opposition; and the ignorant innocent Sheep being the common Civilians. and Syed I strongly disagree with your logic about 'Taghut'.

SYED
It is not from my mind, it is said by Allah Swt.

Have you not seen those who pretend that they believe in that which is revealed unto thee and that which was revealed before thee, how they would go for judgment (in their disputes) to taghut when they have been ordered to abjure them? Satan would mislead them far astray.

An-Nisa verse 60

Hope it is No more Logical.

Amad
jazakAllah

I initially disagreed, but after going through tasfir of the above verse, I am convinced. But what does other choice do the Muslims belonging to a Non-Muslim governance have?

The verse talks about the Judgment which does not follows Shariah as going to a Taghut.

From tafsir Ibn Kathir

It was reported that the reason behind revealing this Ayah was that; a man from the Ansar and a Jew had a dispute, and the Jew said, "Let us refer to Muhammad to judge between us.'' However, the Muslim man said, "Let us refer to Ka`b bin Al-Ashraf (a Jew) to judge between us.'' It was also reported that; the Ayah was revealed about some hypocrites who pretended to be Muslims, yet they sought to refer to the judgment of Jahiliyyah. Other reasons were also reported behind the revelation of the Ayah

What should the Muslims under Non-Muslim Governance should do? Moreover, it is stressed on Hypocrites in the facade of being Muslim and not the Non-Muslims.

Farhan
they should migrate to a place, which is MUSLIM Majority country.
.
like Arab countries, Saudi arabia, yemen, egypt, qatar, oman, Pakistan etc.
.
no country has khilafah,,but where we have majority of muslims, the situation there is not Worst, as it is in non-muslim majority countries..
.
if a country has majority of muslims, then we see that atleast there the environment is little bit islamic (as compared to non-muslim country, where everywhere you see that muslims are minority and have no rights).

Hadif
Brother farhan, i am living in Hindustan where majority is Hindus.. Here i go masjid 5 times a day.. Go to jumua on fridays.. Arrange public programmes and conferences..
Next let us take the place u lives, muslims themselves destroys masjids, frequent bomb blasts.. Sunni shia riots.. Talibani attack fear.. But here were we live it is safe and we have more freedom to practise islam, even the civil laws in islam.

Farhan
Dear hadif
if i provide you SCHOLARLY Opinion, where scholars have consensus that muslims should NOT Live in non-muslim country.
would u reject it?
.
Also if prophet Muhammad himself said that? what would u do?
.

It should be noted that it is not permissible for the Muslim to immigrate to the lands of disbelief except for a necessity or a dire need because immigration to the lands of disbelief cannot be free from violations of Sharee‘ah rules in general. For further information, see Fatwa 86405.

However, if there is a valid reason for the Muslim to immigrate and stay there, he must abide by the rules and laws which regulate people's life and which do not contradict the rulings of Sharee‘ah. Nonetheless, a Muslim should not abide by the laws that contradict the Sharee‘ah rulings. For instance, if the law forbids the Muslim from inviting people to Islam, he should not abide by that. Rather, he should give Da‘wah within his own capacity. At the same time, he should not violate these laws in a manner that may inflict harm on him; rather, he should invite people to Islam through the available means, which do not put him in a critical situation, such as giving Da‘wah individually. More importantly, the Muslim should be a good example in dealing with others, since this reflects the merits of Islam and its good impact on its followers. Indeed, being a good example effectively encourages people to embrace Islam.

Finally, we remind the questioner that it is not appropriate to equate Islam, the true religion, with other false religions. Muslims have the right to ban non-Muslims from propagating their religions because this is an invitation to falsehood. Non-Muslims, however, do not have the right to prevent Muslims from calling people to Islam because Islam is the true religion. As regards the fact that non-Muslims believe they are adhering to the truth, it is of no significance.

Farhan
muslims are NOT allowed to live in non-muslim land
http://www.islamweb.net/emainpage/index.php?page=showfatwa&Option=FatwaId&Id=126274
.
.
the Prophet, (peace and blessings be upon him), said, “I disown every Muslim who settles among non-Muslims.” (Reported by Abu Dawud)
.

With regard to common sense, the Muslim who settles among non-Muslims cannot carry out many of the duties and everyday acts of worship of Islam, in addition to the fact that he is exposing himself to temptation because permissiveness in those countries is protected by their laws. The Muslim should not expose himself to temptation and trials.

This is obvious if we look at evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah without paying attention to what is really happening in Muslim and non-Muslim countries. However, if we look at what is really happening in Muslim countries, we cannot agree with the questioner when he says, “Especially since Muslim countries are no longer so different from others with regard to adherence to the laws of Islam.” This generalization is not altogether correct. Muslim countries vary with regard to how closely or otherwise they adhere to the laws of Islam, and even within one country, regions and cities may vary in that regard.

Similarly, non-Muslim countries are not all the same with regard to their permissiveness and moral laxity.

Anayat
Dear hadif
first of all the topic is related with democracy and khilafah so why we diverting topic to indo pak issue and issue of nationalism...and brother Hadif in one of your post u have said we are "hindustani muslim" there is no concept of like this hindustani and pakistani muslim in Islam... only we are muslim nothing else if we say we are hindustani muslim that mean we accept nationalism that is clearly haram in Islam but i know the some indian muslim scholers wil accept it as haram because there is some scholer in India they also praying for This so called self pro claimed God Baba..and still people are following these type of mslim scholer blindly.

On the issue of muslim can live in non muslim country is zanni-ulema has ikhtilaf in this issue both openion is legitimate....

On the issue of muslim condition in india u said we can pray 5 times freely yes thats true but u said we can organise programme and seminar freely thats not true, we can only organise prog which is totaly based on spritual like Tablighi Jamah and Dr Zakir Naik sb doing but if we organise any type of political programme we will be scaned labeld as extrimist and so on.

Ahsan
The Solution to all the problems is Islamic Khilafah where everyone will be treated equally, everyone will get justice and there will be peace everywhere.
